• Monitor Your Pet: Every animal is unique. If you notice signs of sensitivity—such as coughing, sneezing, or changes in behavior—extinguish the candle immediately and consult your veterinarian.
• Placement Matters: Keep all candles and body care products out of reach of curious paws and wagging tails to prevent accidental ingestion or burns.
• Special Sensitivity: Birds and animals with respiratory conditions like asthma have extremely sensitive systems; we recommend extra caution or avoiding scented products in their immediate environment.

 Q: Are your candles and wax melts safe to use around my pets?

A: Yes, when used as directed. We specifically use lead-free cotton or natural wooden wicks and soy-based waxes to avoid the soot and petroleum byproducts (like benzene and toluene) found in paraffin candles, which can be irritating to pets. We recommend burning candles in well-ventilated areas and keeping them out of reach of curious paws and wagging tails. 

Q: Do you use essential oils that are toxic to dogs or cats?

A: We are extremely mindful of our oil selections. While many essential oils are wonderful for humans, some (like Tea Tree, Peppermint, and certain Citrus oils) can be sensitive for pets if used in high concentrations. In our Alchemist and Signature collections, we strictly limit or exclude high-risk oils. For our highly fragrant Ritual Collection, we use phthalate-free fragrance oils that provide a robust scent without the specific chemical compounds found in "hot" essential oils that often cause pet distress. 

Q: What about birds and exotic pets?

A: Birds have exceptionally sensitive respiratory systems. While our products are non-toxic, we always recommend extra caution. Avoid using any scented products—even natural ones—in the same room as avian pets or small mammals like ferrets and rabbits without consulting your veterinarian first. Q: What should I do if my pet shows signs of sensitivity?A: Every animal is unique. If you notice your pet coughing, sneezing, or acting lethargic while a candle or melt is in use, extinguish it immediately and move the pet to fresh air. If symptoms persist, contact your vet. 

Q: Are your lotions and soaps safe if my dog licks my skin?

A: Our body care is "nature-anchored" and free from harsh sulfates, parabens, and the fillers found in mass-produced brands. While our Signature and Alchemist formulas use high-quality, food-grade plant oils, we always recommend a "Safety-First" approach:

Allow your lotions, balms, or salves to fully absorb into your skin before allowing your pets to lick the area. While a quick lick of our natural ingredients is generally not a cause for alarm, personal care products are not intended for pet ingestion. As a best practice, always store your apothecary items securely to prevent curious paws from accessing larger amounts.
